SOLI Education
SOLI Chamber Ensemble offers engaging programs for musicians of all ages. Adult pianists enjoy musical collaboration in relaxed Monday Salons, while SOLI Saturdays give pre-college students the chance to explore solo pieces with professional players. I SOLO’d with SOLI pairs young pianists with SOLI members David Mollenauer and Stephanie Key for workshops, a contest, and a citywide tour. This year ISWS is a collaboration with CASA (Composers Alliance of San Antonio). Teachers can grow their studios through the hybrid Enseña Certification Program, and adult musicians connect at the SOLI/ACMP Play-In chamber music nights. Sound Sense workshops offer fun, no-pressure musical exploration for students, families, and curious minds.

Our Initiatives

SOLI Saturdays
Pre-college piano students explore their solo pieces alongside SOLI musicians, discovering how other instruments deepen listening, enhance interpretation, and inspire expressive growth.

I Solo'd with SOLI
Young piano students transform solo pieces into chamber music experiences with SOLI members David Mollenauer (cello) and Stephanie Ken (clarinet). Workshops focus on developing ensemble skills. The activities culminate in a competition and a tour of performances throughout San Antonio. This year includes a special collaboration with CASA (Composers Alliance of San Antonio).

SOLI's Enseña Certification Program
Future and current piano teachers are empowered to integrate chamber music and creative pedagogy into their studios through hybrid sessions, in-person experiences, and guidance in arranging, repertoire, and event planning.

SOLI Monday Salons
Adult pianists of all levels join SOLI musicians in a relaxed home setting to enhance solo pieces, develop ensemble skills, and enjoy musical collaboration - each session ends with light refreshments and engaging conversation.

SOLI's Sound Sense
Curious minds 3rd grade and up join SOLI's Education Director Carolyn True for a fun, no-pressure workshop that builds core musical skills through interactive group activities. No instruments or prior experience is needed.

SOLI/ACMP Play In
Adult amateur and professional musicians join us for three evenings of chamber music reading focused on play, connection, and enjoyment! Pizza, drinks, and a welcoming community are provided.
