Feature Focus pairs SOLI with one artist at a time: composers, performers, and artists working in dance, visual art, and beyond.
Each one is built around the artist rather than a date on the calendar. One may run ten days. Another may run most of a season, turning up in a recital hall, a nightclub, a garden, and a classroom.
Students at San Antonio schools, colleges, and universities hear how the music was made from the person making it, while it is still being made.
2026 • 27 | Scott Ordway
Scott Ordway is SOLI’s Feature Focus composer for 2026–27, and the season is arranged to show the range of one working composer. From November through January, San Antonio will have the opportunity to experience Scott’s compositional output, his interactions with students and composers, and his alter ego: Public Ceremony.
