I SOLO’d with SOLI

Designed for elementary and intermediate piano students, these exciting workshops pair young musicians with professional artists David Mollenauer (cello) and Stephanie Key (clarinet), adding a rich chamber music dimension to each student’s solo recital piece. Memorization is not required – being able to start anywhere in the piece is a plus!

Several composers have created original clarinet and cello parts to accompany the selected piano solos.  This includes arrangements by composers in our very own Composers Alliance of San Antonio (CASA)! The additional clarinet and cello parts offer a fresh, creative twist on familiar repertoire.

What’s Included:
– An interactive workshop where students gain ensemble and musicianship skills (balance, articulation, cueing, and more)
– A mini performance tour at two of three San Antonio venues with SOLI musicians.

**Each student is required to attend their scheduled workshop, but are welcome to observe all three.
