Time flies when you’re having fun – we’ve come to the end of our mini-series looking at the recent activities of our featured 30x30x30 composers! Below you’ll find what five of these creatives have been up to…
Sebastian Quesada
Sebastian Quesada had two pieces, Prelude and Divertimento, recorded on Luis Víguez’s 2025 album Shades & Cycles. His work Dynamo for trombone choir was published, and he’s had several pieces premiered, including Tensión Iridiscente by the Orquesta Sinfónica de Heredia just outside of San José, Costa Rica. The Costa Rica Guitar Quartet is set to premiere a new octet of Quesada’s in July, with more details to come soon!
Shruthi Rajasekar
Shruthi Rajasekar premiered several pieces in the last year, including Sarojini, a choral and orchestral work detailing the life and work of Indian freedom-fighter Sarojini Naidu, featured on Minneapolis Public Radio’s “Your Classical” program. Along with continuing to compose, Rajasekar was interviewed in the documentary Global Women in Music: Composers Rewriting the Score and actively performs as a vocalist, joining her mother and guru Smt. Nirmala Rajasekar at last season’s Margazhi Concert in Chennai, South India. She is a special guest at this year’s Princeton Summer School, June 29th – July 3rd, and her piece Sat on the Shore will be performed on July 25th as a part of BBC Proms 2026 at The Glasshouse International Centre for Music in Gateshead, England. Terrell Cordice
Based in Las Vegas, Terrell Cordice continues to write music for band. He is self-published through Cordice Music, a company that he founded and owns. More information about Cordice can be found on the 30x30x30 website.
Yeonsuk Jung
Yeonsuk Jung was a part of last year’s Sō Percussion Summer Institute and Unheard-of//Ensemble’s Collaborative Composition Initiative workshop with German chamber ensemble PART. He continued his collaboration with Unheard-of//Ensemble with the premiere of Race to Nowhere, and in December he joined Wild Up in Los Angeles, California, for their performance of Gavin Bryars’ Jesus’ Blood Never Failed Me Yet. Jung just graduated with his Master of Music degree from Bowling Green State University, and is headed to UC Santa Barbara to pursue a doctorate in composition in the Fall!
Yuxuan Lin
Yuxuan Lin was selected for this year’s Juilliard Risk Lab Residency, where she spent a week at Kaatsbaan Cultural Park in Tivoli, New York with a group of performers and the Creative Enterprise team to create a staged performance of her work Echoes. Pursuing her Masters’ in Music at the Juilliard School, her works have been featured in several notable university events, namely Laminations at March’s 2nd annual Future Stages Festival and Ternion at the Dean’s commencement concert. Lin had a piece featured as a composer-mentor in the 2026 Now Beat Project, and recently her work One Notch at a Time from the series Time Stretch was premiered at Salisbury Congregational Church in Vermont.
