Time doesn't change great music and SOLI will take you on a journey of great contemporary music from 1992 to today. SOLI's "Women in Music" featured composer Tania Leon will begin the journey with Arenas d'un tiempo. Next stop is 1994 with David Stocks Sonidos de la Noche, continuing to 2005 for Thomas Ades' Court Studies from the Tempest, and young Houston composer, George Heathco's Shifting Landscapes brings us to 2011. The final destination is 2013, with two sensational NEW commissions. San Antonio's own Marcus Rubio's piece for amplified violin will be followed by award winning, Houston based composer Rob Smith's latest work. These pieces are so new, we don't even know the titles yet! Please join us for an evening of premieres and great works of NEW music.
