LOVE TRIANGLE

SOLI, Ballet San Antonio, and talented young Mezzo- Soprano Tynan Davis will explore the legendary "love affair" between Brahms and Clara Schumann through music and dance. An accomplished performer and composer in her own right, Clara Schumann, along with her husband Robert, have been influential in Brahms' development into the accomplished composer as we know him today. Brahms' close relationship with Clara and her husband Robert Schumann, has been well documented, but his particularly close relationship with Clara has always been a point of contention among scholars. Perhaps because they burned most of their correspondence leaving the remaining letters open to interpretation. The program will give us a glimpse into this Love Triangle and will feature works from Robert, Clara, and Johannes, choreographed and staged by Artistic Director Gabriel Zertuche of Ballet San Antonio.
